On 29 November 2025, a joint CRIRSCO-CAMRA letter was signed confirming the acceptance of the China Association of Mineral Resource Appraisers (CAMRA) as the sixteenth member of CRIRSCO. CAMRA is now recognised by CRIRSCO as the National Reporting Organisation (NRO) for China.
This important milestone in CRIRSCO’s evolution took place at CAMRA’s Members’ Representative Assembly in Beijing when, during the opening ceremony of the Assembly, the letter was signed by Garth Kirkham (CRIRSCO Chair), Wang Shouxiang (CAMRA outgoing President) and Peter Stoker (CRIRSCO Treasurer and chair of CRIRSCO’s China application committee) in front of an audience of around 700.
Following the vote by CRIRSCO members in October to accept their application, CAMRA had invited Garth Kirkham and Peter Stoker to attend the event, together with Edmund Sides (CRIRSCO Deputy Chair), all members of the CRIRSCO Board.
Subsequently, the three CRIRSCO representatives presented sessions on the first day of a CAMRA Training Course on Monday 1st December which around 150 participants attended.
