Progress of CRIRSCO implementation in the Kyrgyz Republic

CRIRSCO’s representatives Bat-Erdene Dash and Igor Svintitsky, visited Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic 2-8 April 2022 for reviewing the progress of the implementation CRIRSCO template in the form of the National KyrRC Standard for the publication of reporting on the results of geological exploration, resource estimation and reserve calculation of minerals.

During the visit CRIRSCO’s representatives have had meetings with the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov, the Director of the Department of Geology and Subsoil Use under the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision Arkady Rogalsky, the President of the Kyrgyz Society of Subsoil Experts I.Chunuev, the state officials, leaders of the mining and geological industry of the country.

The implementation of the CRIRSCO template in the Kyrgyz Republic is based on a tripartite Memorandum between the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz Mining Association and the CRIRSCO dated November 31, 2017, Jakarta, Indonesia, and Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 5 dated January 29, 2021 “About the reforms in the mining industry”.

The CRIRSCO reps note the highest level of the official support, the presence of the necessary package of documents, which in the form and the content correspond to the spirit and requirements of CRIRSCO and the readiness of the Kyrgyz Republic to implement international standards in the form of the National KyrRC Standard.
